Steve Hale, EA, CFP®
Registered Principal
In addition to 30 years of financial services experience, Steve is a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner. He graduated in 1974 from SIU-Edwardsville with a degree in mathematics education and has augmented that education with accounting classes at Blackhawk College and Western Illinois University. In 2009 he received a master’s degree in personal financial planning from the College for Financial Planning. This background gives him a well-rounded body of knowledge to assist clients in a variety of fields, but especially as they prepare for retirement and as they go through their retirement years.
Over the years, Steve has taught in both private and public schools and served as the pastor of churches in Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, and Arkansas. This has given him the ability to connect with people on a human level beyond the mathematics of money and investments. As Steve puts it, “I want my clients to have the confidence that comes from having their finances arranged in alignment with their personal goals over the course of a lifetime.”
Steve has served on the Better Business Bureau Board of Governors in the Quad Cities of Illinois and Iowa. Before starting his own practice, he was the tax practice manager at FiveStar Tax and Financial Services in East Moline, IL.
Steve has Series 7, 63, and 24 securities registrations. He also has licenses for life insurance, long-term care insurance, and variable annuities.
Steve and his wife, Joyce, grew up in the St. Louis, MO area and were married in 1972. They have four children and five grandchildren. In his spare time, Steve likes to ride his Tennessee Walking Horses and go deer hunting.
